The Honda Accord is gaining a number of new features for 2026 without a noticeable price increase to go with them.
The 2026 Accord has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $38,500, an increase of $200 from 2025. Once fees and levies are factored in, that puts the car’s estimated selling price at $41,797.50.
What’s new
The SE base model of the midsize sedan is gaining a nine-inch colour touchscreen, which is nearly 30 per cent larger than before, a physical volume knob, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and a 15W wireless phone charger.
The base model is also getting new 19-inch, five-spoke wheels (two inches larger) than before.
And, the Sport-L Hybrid mid-range model gets new black decklid badging to go with black door mirrors, black shark fin antenna and gloss-black B-pillar trim.
Powertrains and trims
The 2026 Accord is available with two powertrain options and three different grade levels.
The SE is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with VTEC variable valve lift technology mated to a continuously variable transmission. The car has 192 hp and 192 lb.-ft. of torque and a fuel economy rating of 8.3/6.6/7.5 L/100 km (city/highway/combined).
The Sport-L and Touring models get a two-motor hybrid powertrain, which has no transmission as the two motors power the wheels. This powertrain produces 204 hp and 247 lb.-ft. of torque and fuel consumption is rated at 5.0/5.7/5.3 L/100 km.
Every accord also comes with the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistive technologies and has a Honda Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure, which is intended to provide more protection in a wide variety of frontal collisions.
