Cheapest three-row SUVs and minivans available in Canada in 2026

Chrysler, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota sell 2026 model year minivans and SUVs with three rows of seating for less than $53,000.

If you need to haul many humans but you’re on a budget, you’ve got some brand-new vehicle options that won’t break the bank too much.

Below is a list of 2026 model year minivans and SUVs with three rows of seating available in Canada for less than $53,000, including fees and levies.

The list is ordered from most to least expensive.

Not all automakers have announced 2026 model year details yet. This article will be updated as information becomes available.

The starting advertised price includes the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP), plus fees and levies. Fees and levies may vary by location. This list is based on Ontario advertised prices. Dealers may set their own prices and automakers may adjust their prices through the year. Check with your local dealer for an exact price.

Toyota Sienna

Starting price: $52,488 (MSRP of $49,370)

Toyota’s minivan (pictured up top) is available as a hybrid only. The base model has seating for eight, while higher trims seat seven as the middle row gets more comfortable pilot seats. In base trim, you’ll find comfort features such as heated front seats, heated leather steering wheel, three-zone automatic climate control, power back door, rear quarter window sunshades, and auto-dimming rear-view mirror with garage door opener, Toyota Multimedia with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and safety features including Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, a rear seat reminder system, 10 airbags and more.

Chrysler Grand Caravan

Chrysler markets two minivan models, the Grand Caravan and the Pacifica, but they’re basically identical with the Grand Caravan serving as the entry-level model while the Pacifica is more upscale with more standard features. The Grand Caravan features a V6 engine with start-stop, standard Stow ‘n Go second- and third-row seating and storage, heated front seats and heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, 12-way power driver’s seat including four-way lumbar adjust, the Uconnect 5 multimedia system with a 10.1-inch screen, dual power sliding doors and power liftgate and more.

Mazda CX-90

The CX-90 features eight seats in base configuration. It’s powered by an inline-six turbocharged engine with mild hybrid technology. Standard features include a 10.25-inch colour centre display, LED headlights with rear combination lights, 19-inch alloy wheels, wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, Mazda Connect Services, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, Kinematic Posture Control, three-zone automatic climate control, a host of safety features including lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, driver attention alert and more. Hyundai Santa Fe

The boxy Hyundai Santa Fe is powered by a hybrid powertrain that returns a city-highway combined fuel economy rating of 6.9L/100 km, plus it comes loaded with features, including all-wheel drive, dual-zone automatic temperature control, proximity key entry with push botton start, BlueLink telematics, Hyundai SmartSense, over-the-air software updates, 12.3-inch touchscreen multimedia display, proximity-activated smart liftgate, 18-inch alloy wheels, eight-way power driver’s seat and much more. The Santa Fe is also available with a more powerful gasoline-only powertrain but at a higher price.

Kia Carnival

Starting advertised price: $44,740 (MSRP of $41,895)

The Kia Carnival is the cheapest minivan you can buy brand-new in Canada. It comes standard with a host of safety features, including blind-spot collision avoidance assist, forward collision-avoidance assist, front and rear parking sensors, and more. Seating for eight is standard, while the minivan is available with optional second-row captain’s seats, in which case you’d have room for seven. A hybrid powertrain is available as well. The ICE version is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine with 288 hp, while the hybrid version, which has a starting price of $50,785, gets a 1.6-litre turbo engine with an electric motor for a total output of 242 hp and a fuel-efficiency rating of 6.9/7.5/7.2 L/100 km (city/highway/combined).

Kia Sorento

Starting advertised price: $41,840* (2025) (MSRP of $38,995)

The Kia Sorento comes standard with a seven-seat configuration, while all upgraded trims go down to six, as the middle row gets a more comfortable pilot seats setup. All trims feature smart key with push button start and parking distance warning, smart cruise control with stop and go, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, a power driver seat with two-way lumbar support and Kia Connect. Mitsubishi Outlander

Starting advertised price: $39,614 (MSRP of $36,398)

Mitsubishi’s three-row SUV received a face lift in 2025 and a brand-new powertrain for 2026. The Outlander is now powered by a mild-hybrid powertrain featuring a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with 174 hp and 206 lb.-ft. of torque, and a fuel economy rating of 9.4/7.8/8.7 L/100 km (city/highway/combined). The compact SUV has seating for seven people and standard all-wheel drive along with 11 airbags. In base trim, you get a Yamaha sound system, drive mode selector, 18-inch alloy wheels, frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, automatic climate control, and a host of standard safety features.
