Volkswagen will not bring a 2026 ID. Buzz to market.

The company said it plans to skip 2026 and go from the 2025 model year, currently available in Canada, to the 2027 model year.

Little information has been provided, but VW Canada told this blog more details will be announced in the new year.

While there will be no 2026 version of the electric minivan, the company said Canadian dealers have a decent supply of 2025 versions that should last for another few months.

The ID. Buzz launched in Canada with the 2025 model year, though it had been available in Europe earlier.

Canadians can buy an ID. Buzz 1st Edition, which features a single-motor rear-wheel-drive drivetrain with 282 hp and an NRCan estimated driving range of 377 kilometres. This version seats seven.

Or, Canadians can buy an ID. Buzz 1 st Edition 4MOTION, which features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive drivetrain with 335 hp and a driving range of 373 kilometres. This version seats six.

The starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) on the RWD version is $77,495 and $82,995 on the 4MOTION version. The MSRP doesn’t include various fees and levies.

VW Canada is offering temporary discounts on the 2025 ID. Buzz.

Cash purchase buyers can get $21,000 off, as of this writing, bringing the starting prices, fees and levies included, to $59,640 for the RWD version and $65,140 for the AWD version. The discount is available until Jan. 2.

If you need financing, the automaker is offering a discount of $6,000 and zero per cent interest for 60 months. This would bring the starting prices to $74,708 for the RWD version or $80,208 for the AWD version. This offer is also available until Jan. 2, according to the VW Canada website.

There are separate lease offers as well.
