The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in the United States recognized another 16 vehicles with its 2025 safety awards.

The vehicles are from 2025 and 2026 model years.

Three vehicles received the lower-tier Top Safety Pick, while the other 13 received the upper-tier Top Safety Pick+ recognition.

Newly recognized vehicles with a Top Safety Pick+ award are: Audi A6 Sportback e-tron, Audi All-new Q5, Audi All-new Q5 Sportback, Genesis G80, Honda Passport, Infiniti QX60, Kia Sorento, Lexus NX, Subaru Forester, Tesla Cybertruck, Volkswagen Atlas, Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport and Volvo EX90.

Newly recognized vehicles with the Top Safety Pick award are: Acura ADX, Hyundai Palisade and Tesla Model 3.

The IIHS updated its safety awards, and, in order to qualify, vehicles now need to have good ratings in the small overlap front and side tests, an acceptable or good rating in the pedestrian front crash prevention evaluation and acceptable or good ratings for headlights across all trim levels.

An acceptable rating in the moderate overlap front test is enough to qualify for the Top Safety Pick, but a good rating is required to get the plus.

The complete list of 2025 safety picks, as of this writing, is below.

Models that specify the 2026 model year only have the designation for that model year. If no year is stated, the designation includes 2025 and beyond model years.
