Jeep has unveiled the second of its special-edition 85th anniversary Wrangler buzz model and for this one the company took inspiration from the old Jeep CJ.
The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Whitecap features a bright white painted hardtop and grille and is available exclusively in Sahara and Rubicon trims.
Jeep is running a year of special-edition Wrangler buzz models in celebration of 85 continuous years of production. The company previously unveiled the Wrangler Moab 392 model.

The automaker specifically mentioned the CJ-5 Universal as inspiration for the Whitecap. The CJ-5 was produced from 1955 to 1983, first by Willys and later by AMC and was a civilian vehicle based on a military 4×4.
The Whitecap is available with either the Wrangler’s 2-litre turbo engine or 3.6-litre V6 engine.
All models get 4×4 with Selec-Trac part-time or full-time transfer cases.
“The Jeep Wrangler Whitecap is more than a special edition, it’s a statement,” Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf said in a news release. “It honours Jeep brand heritage while introducing a striking two-tone look that turns heads on any trail. Just like every model in the series, Whitecap is designed to stand out – a true tip of the hat to the brand’s legendary legacy. With more ways to personalize and customize than ever before, we’re giving Jeep owners the freedom to make their Wrangler truly their own.”
The Whitecap model gets the white hardtop roof, but the body can be had in any colour available to the Wrangler.

Unique features include:
- Bright White painted hardtop roof
- Bright White painted iconic seven-slot grille, with body-colour fender flares (standard on Sahara and packaged on Rubicon)
- Bright White 1941 side strip decal (Sahara and Rubicon)/Bright White hood decal on Rubicon
- Optional Sky One-Touch powertop in Bright White accent
Jeep hasn’t announced Canadian pricing, but said the 2026 Jeep Wrangler Whitecap should be available to order within the coming weeks.
