Clearly the people at Porsche don’t believe owners of their cars should baby them in winter.

And they’re giving Porsche owners an opportunity to thrash around the corners at their track.

The Porsche Experience Centre Toronto remains open during winter.

The centre, which includes a 1.5-kilometre track, low-friction handling circuit and low-friction drift circle and more, has winter programs are available through to March, so long as the weather co-operates.

The company said its winter programs are designed to “refine your driving skill while delivering an engaging experience on our purpose-built handling surfaces in winter-equipped Porsche vehicles.”

The winter programs include core driving modules adapted for colder conditions and a section of the track’s straightaway has been transformed into a braking zone where drivers can explore the limits of tire adhesion on cold surfaces.

Prices start at $600 and availability is limited.

Demo laps

The track also offers a ride-along experience. Guests aged 12 years old and up can hop in for demo laps with the company’s instructors to enjoy what is described a “thrilling” way to experience the full potential of a Porsche in winter conditions.

Porsche Experience Centre Toronto is located at 356 Porsche Dr., Pickering, Ont., located just east of Toronto.

More information is on the Porsche Experience Centre Toronto website.
