The Aspark OWL SP600 may have lost its crown as the world’s fastest electric vehicle but it still remains one of the quickest accelerating cars out there.
How quick? Zero to 100 km/h is said to arrive in 1.78 seconds (zero to 60 mph in 1.72 seconds).
Now, potential buyers will be able enjoy that quickness with an open roof.
Aspark, a Japanese automotive brand, launched the OWL Roadster, which has the same bodacious figures as the OWL SP600.

The Aspark OWL Roadster is powered by four electric motors with a total output of 1,953 hp and 1,416 lb.-ft. of torque.
Supplying energy to the motors is a 69-kWh battery pack.
Zero to 100 km/h is reported at 1.78 seconds.
The car’s top speed is 413 km/h, though it is electronically limited to 350 km/h for road use. When the OWL SP600 became the fastest EV on the planet, it hit a speed of 438.7 km/h.
“Every OWL Roadster is a testament to Japanese craftsmanship and meticulous precision. From material selection to assembly and final finishing, each car is hand-built and polished by master artisans to achieve perfection in every detail,” the automaker said in a news release.
Only 20 Aspark OWL Roadsters will be produced. Unfortunately none of them will be sold in Canada as Aspark sells cars only in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
It was unveiled at the 2025 Lyon auto show in France.
More information about the Aspark OWL Roadster is available on the automaker’s website.
