The end of the calendar year can sometimes be the best time to buy a brand-new car as automakers slash prices on outgoing model year vehicles to make way for the next.
While this article won’t capture all available discounts at this time, we highlight five electric vehicles that are available with discounts of at least $10,000 in Canada this month (November 2025).
The terms and conditions of the discounts vary by automaker and vehicle model, so if you’re considering buying one of them, check with your local dealer that the discount applies to you.
Volkswagen ID. Buzz
Maximum cash purchase discount: $21,000
Discounted starting price: $59,640
Volkswagen Canada is offering a cash purchase discount of $21,000 on the 2025 model year of the ID. Buzz electric minivan. The discount is available until Dec. 1, according to the VW Canada website.
That puts the seven-seat single-motor ID. Buzz 1st Edition at a starting price, including fees and levies, of $59,640, or the six-seat dual-motor ID. Buzz 1st Edition 4MOTION at $65,140.
The $21,000 discount is for cash purchases only. If you need financing, VW is offering a $6,000 discount and zero per cent interest financing for 60 months.

Polestar 3
Maximum cash purchase discount: $20,000
Discounted starting price: $78,800
Polestar Canada is offering a $20,000 cash purchase discount on the 2025 Polestar 3 until Dec. 1, according to the company’s website. That drops the starting MSRP to $78,800.
The discount is not available if you need financing through the automaker.
Polestar has a separate financing deal, offering zero per cent interest for up to 84 months on Polestar 3 Long range Dual motor models.

VinFast VF9
Maximum discount: (2024) $16,000, (2025) $13,000
Discounted starting price: (2024) $65,070, (2025) $64,070
VinFast is offering discounts on 2024 and 2025 model year VF9 vehicles, with a greater discount on the 2024 model.
The 2024 VF9 Plus has a discount of $6,000 plus cash or loan discounts of $10,000 for a total discount of $16,000, bringing the starting price, including fees and levies, to $65,070.
The 2025 VF9 Eco has a discount of $6,000 plus cash or loan discounts of $7,000 for a total discount of $13,000, bringing the starting price, including fees and levies, to $64,070.
The VinFast Canada website doesn’t indicate when the offers end. VinFast only operates retailers in several provinces.

VinFast VF8
Maximum cash purchase discount: $10,000
Discounted starting price: $45,780
VinFast’s smaller SUV, the VF8, is also discounted right now.
VinFast Canada has a $10,000 cash purchase discount or $9,000 finance credit on the 2025 VF8. The cash discount brings the VF8 Eco down to a starting price of $45,780, including fees and levies, or the VF8 Plus down to $51,380. The price is a grand higher if you need financing.

Ford Mustang Mach-E
Maximum discount: $10,000
Discounted starting price: $44,940
Ford is sweetening the deal on 2025 Mustang Mach-E models with a delivery allowance of $10,000, bringing the base model starting price, including fees and levies, to $44,940.
