Kia is not kidding around with its approach toward creating premium automobiles.
The automaker unveiled the upcoming second-generation Telluride, which will debut for the 2027 model year, and the upcoming three-row SUV will be larger – 2.3 inches longer, one inch taller, a three-inch longer wheelbase – plus it will have what Kia calls resort-level comfort.
The automaker unveiled the appearance of the upcoming Telluride, but has yet to reveal vehicle specs such as powertrain options, trim levels, etc. The automaker did say the 2027 Telluride will have a rugged X-Pro trim.
The full reveal will happen at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The new model utilizes the company’s Opposites United design language, which is meant to contrast sharp angles and smooth curves as well as rugged durability and refined sophistication.
“With Telluride, it was a matter of being tailored and restrained – dare I say, anti-design,” said Tom Kearns, VP and senior chief designer, Kia Design Center America, in a news release. “With that approach, it was about capturing strength and luxury, tradition and modernness, into a single expression. That’s what Opposites United enabled us to do.”

Telluride X-Pro
The 2026 Telluride will also be available in X-Pro trim, which features blacked-out wheel arches, side mirrors, beltline trim and D-pillars. It also has raised roof rails, a bold mesh-type grille, a squared-off lower black bumper and more.
The X-Pro rides on all-terrain tires and had 9.1 inches of ground clearance.

Interior
Kia said thanks to the Telluride’s increased overall size, the upcoming model will have easier entry and exist into the second and third rows.
There will also be more headroom thanks to a taller vehicle profile.
Kia said the vehicle interior was inspired by the concept of Grandioso, with an intention of creating a magnificent yet restrained elegance.

The 2027 Kia Telluride is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2026.
