The all-electric Lexus RZ has received a significant update for 2026, getting more power, range and features than before.
Even so, the price penalty is not significant.
The 2026 Lexus RZ has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $59,990. With various fees and levies added, that brings the electric SUV’s starting price to approximately $63,390.
That MSRP is $30 more than the 2025 model year, and readers might note the 2025 RZ received a discount of $4,940 compared to 2024. Keep in mind, the 2026 RZ tops out at a higher price, with the top trim being about $4,000 more than before.
“When we introduced the first RZ in 2023, it embodied all of the Lexus pillars – combining evocative design, the Lexus Driving Signature, plus electrification, and our advanced yet intuitive multimedia and connectivity technology. And this year, we’ve taken this successful formula and improved it in a broad range of ways,” said Martin Gilbert, director of Lexus Canada, in a news release. “From more models and more dynamic performance, to longer range and faster charging times, the Lexus RZ is better than ever before.”
The Lexus RZ shares its bones with the Toyota bZ, which also forms the basis for the Subaru Solterra.
The 2026 Lexus RZ gets a 77-kWh capacity lithium-ion battery, just as the Toyota and Subaru models, but it does not share the same electric powertrains. The bZ can be had with a 168-hp front-wheel-drive setup or 338-hp all-wheel-drive setup and the Solterra goes with just the 338-hp AWD variety.
Lexus RZ drivetrains
The Lexus has three separate electric drivetrains options. They are:
- RZ 350e models get front-wheel drive with 224 hp and an estimated driving range of 486 kilometres.
- RZ 450e AWD models get all-wheel drive with 313 hp. Estimated driving range varies by trim. The Signature trim gets 420 kilometres of estimated range, while Luxury and Executive trims get 418 kilometres.
- RZ 550e F Sport AWD models get 408 hp and up to 366 kilometres of driving range.
All-wheel-drive models get Lexus Direct4, which is designed to improve traction and driving stability, and has been optimized for all situations, such as straight-line acceleration or maneuvering.
A North American Charging Standard (NACS) charge port is standard. Lexus said the RZ can recharge from 10 to 80 per cent in about 30 minutes under ideal DC fast-charging conditions. The on-board AC charger has an 11-kW capacity.

Features
The SUV gets the Lexus Safety System + 3.0 suite of advanced safety features.
It also gets a 14-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Lexus Interface connected services can also be controlled a smartphone app.
The RZ gets a wireless charging dock, multiple USB charge ports, Lexus smart key with push-button start and more.
Lexus said the Dynamic Sky panoramic glass roof has been improved and now offers greater shading when opaque and a clearer view when transparent.
The 2026 Lexus RZ is on sale in Canada now.
