Here are the Canadian prices of 2026 Subaru Outback

The Outback received a major update for the 2026 model year, dropping the previous version’s lifted-wagon shape and becoming an SUV.

Canadian pricing for the newly launched seventh-generation Subaru Outback has been announced.

The model received a major update for the 2026 model year. The new version dropped its former lifted-wagon form and became a full-on SUV, along with picking up some new features along the way.

All models have symmetrical full-time all-wheel drive with X-Mode and 220 millimetres of ground clearance.

For 2026, the Outback will be available in four trims, Touring, Limited XT, Wilderness, and Premier XT.

The former model’s Convenience base trim has been cut, making Touring the new base model.

The starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of the 2026 Outback is $6,200 higher than in 2025.

The Touring model gets a 2.5-litre boxer engine with 180 hp and 178 lb.-ft. of torque, while the other three get a turbocharged 2.4-litre boxer engine with 260 hp.

Subaru Canada said most new Outback models will be available at dealerships across the country in late 2025, while the Wilderness version will arrive in early 2026.

Here are the estimated starting Canadian prices:

  • Touring – $43,756 (MSRP of $40,895)
  • Limited XT – $51,056 (MSRP of $48,195)
  • Wilderness – $52,042 (MSRP of $49,195)
  • Premier XT – $54,056 (MSRP of $51,195)

The above prices are based on the MSRP plus various fees and levies, which may vary by location.

Details about the new Outback

All versions get Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist technology, a 12.1-inch Subaru Multimedia infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a hands-free power rear liftgate with LED lighting, a protective cargo tray, flexible tonneau cover, wireless phone charger, SiriusXM Satellite Radio with 360L (three-month free trial), automatic dual-zone climate control with humidity sensor and rear vents, leather-wrapped gear selector, LED daytime running lights and turn signals, high-capacity roof rails, proximity key with push-button start, power tilting and sliding sunroof, and front and rear wiper de-icer.

The 2026 Outback also gets more standard safety features, including side/rear vehicle detection, and an enhanced EyeSight system that now includes emergency lane keep assist, emergency stop assist, and acceleration override assist.
