Cadillac will drive beyond 2026 with just one sedan

General Motors’ luxury brand is planning to end production of the current CT4 and CT5 after the 2026 model year, but plans to launch a new version of the CT5.

And then there was one.

Cadillac is planning to permanently retire one of its two remaining sedans next year. The other will also end production in 2026, but a new version is already in the works.

General Motors Canada confirmed to this blog that production of Cadillac’s CT4 compact sedan will end in June 2026 and the CT5 midsize sedan will end production in late 2026. The CT5, however, will get a new generation.

“As Cadillac evolves, we will continue to make necessary adjustments to our portfolio to meet customer demand. We are thrilled to confirm that the legacy of the CT5 (including V-Series) will continue with a next-generation gas powered vehicle,” a spokesperson for GM Canada said via email.

The company said additional details about the next-gen CT5 will be shared at a later date.

The CT4 and CT5 are the last remaining mass-produced GM sedans left in Canada. The company does also sell some sedans outside North America.

Cadillac also has the electric Celestiq, but this is an ultra-low-volume model available for custom-commissioned buyers who are willing to spend small-house money on a car.

The 2026 CT4 has a starting Canadian price of $47,233 while the CT5 starts at $61,233, including various fees and levies.

More vehicle details are available on the Cadillac Canada website.
