Jeep’s Wagoneer models are going through many changes in 2026.
For starters, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models are being consolidated into a single model, which will now just be the Grand Wagoneer.
The pair really are the same vehicle but the Grand Wagoneer is the more luxurious of the premium full-size SUV twins.
The new starting price for the 2026 Grand Wagoneer (Canadian MSRP of $87,995) will sit somewhat in between the starting prices of the two 2025 models, being more expensive than the 2025 Wagoneer (MSRP of $80,600) but not as expensive as the 2025 Grand Wagoneer ($104,094).
The model will now also wear the Jeep badge. Previously, Wagoneers skipped the Jeep branding (similar to how the Ford Mustang has Mustang badging throughout and not much to show that it is a Ford).
The Grand Wagoneer also gets a refreshed design, as well as new trims and appearance packages to choose from.
And, possibly the biggest addition to the Grand Wagoneer lineup, the SUV will introduce a new electrified powertrain in 2026.
The existing 3-litre twin-turbo Hurricane engine carries forward, while in late 2026 the Grand Wagoneer will gain a new extended range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrain, although the company calls it REEV for range-extended electric vehicle.
“With the refreshed 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, we’re delivering more than just bold design and refined craftsmanship: we’re offering competitive pricing that ensures exceptional value in the large SUV segment,” said Bob Broderdorf, Jeep brand CEO, in a news release. “Every Grand Wagoneer also now proudly wears a Jeep badge, reinforcing its prominent position within the Jeep family, while making it easier for customers to find the exact model that fits their lifestyle and price point.”

Powertrain details
The existing Hurricane engine in inline-six configuration produces 420 hp and 468 lb.-ft. of torque, offering a towing capacity of up to 10,000 pounds (4,535 kilograms). That’s the same engine that also powered the Wagoneer.
The new EREV or REEV powertrain is a type of plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) powertrain, but more focused on being electric first.
In the case of the Grand Wagoneer, the powertrain features a 3.6-litre V6 engine. The engine does not drive the wheels. Instead, the engine supplies mechanical power to a 130-kW generator, which creates electricity.
This EREV powertrain produces an estimated 647 hp and 620 lb.-ft. of torque and has an estimated total driving range of up to 800 kilometres. This is also the quickest Grand Wagoneer ever, with the automaker estimating a zero to 60 mph run of five seconds.
The battery pack fitted to the Grand Wagoneer EREV has a capacity of 92 kWh.
The company said this powertrain gives customers the instant torque and serene driving experience of an EV without range anxiety.

Visual changes
The 2026 Grand Wagoneer gets a refreshed front fascia with taller, squared-off elements, raised headlights and a wide, slim grille. The front end also gets full-width LED lights.
The lower fascia also gets new T-shaped LED lights.
The seven-slot grille gets illuminated slots.
The rear end gets full-width LED taillights, which are said to mirror the front’s horizontal motif.
Stellantis said the purpose of these styling changes is to enhance the SUV’s road presence.
The exterior is also losing its chrome elements, which is a first for the Grand Wagoneer. The company said this is part of a move toward a cleaner, more responsible and modern expression of luxury.

Personalization
Stellantis said the 2026 Grand Wagoneer gives buyers more personalization options than ever.
There’s a variety of wheel designs available, in sizes of 18 to 22 inches, as well as visual elements for a rugged, off-road look to sleek, urban designs.
Trims include the base Grand Wagoneer as well as Limited Altitude and Summit Obsidian, all of which are available in standard length or long-wheelbase form.
The base and Limited models get an all-black interior with the base getting Capri surfaces and Limited getting Nappa leather with an Axis II perforation pattern.

The Summit trim gets Dark Waxed Walnut open-pore real wood decorative trim, with Nappa leather trim with Axis II perforation.
Buyers who opt for the Summit Reserve appearance package get choices of black, Tupelo and Dark Ruby Red colours and Palermo leather seating with quilted, registered perforation, burnished copper and smoke stitching along with a suede headliner.
Other features on the Summit Reserve include a 23-speaker McIntosh audio system, ventilated rear seats, an integrated front console cooler, front passenger display and a black appearance.
