Early Canadian buyers of Lucid Gravity SUVs are now starting to pick up their electric vehicles.
The automaker announced Oct. 11 deliveries of the Gravity EV have begun in Canada.
The electric SUV joins the Lucid brand’s existing Air sedan in the Canadian market.
“There has been great anticipation for the Lucid Gravity in Canada,” said Erwin Raphael, vice president of revenue at Lucid Group, in a news release. “It offers space for up to seven adults and their luggage. It can handle even the most challenging conditions, making it ideal for extended road trips.”
Initial models being delivered in Canada are the Gravity Grand Touring.
The Grand Touring trim comes packing with a dual-motor powertrain with 828 hp and more than 720 kilometres of range.
The Gravity features a 926V architecture and can charge on 1,000V and 500V fast chargers.
The Lucid Gravity Grand Touring has a Canadian starting price of $134,500.
The automaker also plans to introduce the less-expensive Gravity Touring model later this year. That model will have a starting price of $113,500.
Lucid has Canadian retailers in Toronto, Vaughan, Montreal and Vancouver.
