Canadian drivers of Honda and Acura electric vehicles can now access Tesla Superchargers.
Honda Canada announced its dealers are now selling a Honda-approved NACS-CCS DC fast-charging adapter.
The adapter can be used with the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX, which are fitted with a Combined Charging System port, to plug into chargers with a North American Charging Standard port, such a Tesla Superchargers.
The NACS-CCS adapter is available at a price of $400.
Honda said only approved adapters should be used, and any damage caused to a vehicle as a result of using an unapproved adapter may not be covered by the vehicle’s warranty.
Prologue and ZDX owners can use the in-vehicle Google Built-in Maps feature to find Supercharger locations.
Honda Canada said the Tesla app will be required, initially, to charge at Tesla Superchargers, but eventual integration with the HondaLink and Acura EV apps is coming.
