It’s the time of year when automakers are shipping in next year’s vehicle models and are trying to unload this year’s cars that are sitting on dealer lots.

This can result in some hefty discounts, and Polestar Canada is offering one such discount that can be considered hefty.

The automaker is advertising a discount of $20,000 on the Polestar 3 electric SUV in Canada.

The offer is available until Nov. 3, according to the Polestar Canada website.

The fine print on the Polestar Canada says the $20,000 discount is available for cash purchases, meaning you have to come with a big ol’ cheque or your own financing to get it.

However, the Polestar Canada online configurator applies the $20,000 discount even on finance purchases.

Check with the automaker for terms and conditions.

The Polestar 3 has a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $96,000 in Canada. With the discount applied, the starting price comes to $78,000, plus fees and levies.

That’s the base price for the Long range Dual motor model with 489 hp and an estimated driving of up to 506 kilometres.

The discount is also available on the Polestar 3 with the Performance pack, which has 517 hp and an estimated driving range of up to 449 kilometres.

The Polestar 3 with the Performance pack, with the discount applied, comes to a starting price of $86,000, according to the Polestar Canada online configurator.

If you need financing, Polestar is offering Canadians zero per cent interest for financing up to 84 months on the 2025 Polestar 3. This offer is also good until Nov. 3.
