Acura is ending production of the company’s first all-electric vehicle.
Honda Canada confirmed to this blog the vehicle is being discontinued, and added that no other Honda or Acura vehicles are affected by the decision.
The Acura ZDX, which is assembled at General Motors’ Spring Hill, Tennessee facility, is being discontinued after just one model year.
The sport utility vehicle launched for the 2024 model year. The company never brought a 2025 model to market in Canada, and it won’t continue into 2026.
“To better align our product portfolio with the needs of our customers and market conditions, as well as our long-term strategic goals, the Acura ZDX has ended production,” Honda Canada said in an emailed statement.
“ZDX has played a valuable role for the Acura brand and will provide a foundation we will build on next year with the arrival of the all-electric Acura RSX. The RSX will be produced in North America at the EV Hub in Ohio and will launch the second half of 2026, as well as with other hybrid-electric Acura models now in development.”
The company said Acura ZDX customers will continue to receive full product support through its dealer network, including service, parts, and warranty coverage.
The ZDX was available in A-Spec trim, which had a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with 490 hp and up to 437 lb.-ft. of maximum torque, and an estimated driving range of up to 489 kilometres.
There was also the Type S, which is the most powerful Acura to date. It had a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with 499 hp and 544 lb.-ft. of torque, and an estimated driving range of up to 447 kilometres.
As of this writing (Sept. 25, 2025), the ZDX remains available on the Acura Canada website.
