The Hyundai Hope on Wheels charitable organization is continuing its road trip of giving, with recent stops at two Alberta hospitals and another in Ontario.
The organization has pledged to donate $4 million total in 2025 to support pediatric oncology centres across Canada.
The recent donations were made in Calgary, Edmonton and London.
Alberta Children’s Hospital
On Sept. 10, Hyundai Canada announced a donation of $100,000 to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, which raises funds for the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary.
The hospital sees about 70 children diagnosed with cancer per year. It provides highly specialized care to young people in south Alberta, including supporting the communities of Red Deer, Medicine Hat and Lethbridge.
Stollery Children’s Hospital
On Sept. 11, Hyundai Canada announced a donation of $100,000 to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, the fundraising arm of the Edmonton-based Stollery Children’s Hospital.
The hospital’s pediatric oncology program is the primary provider of children’s cancer care in northern Alberta. It offers in-patient and outpatient services and has a specialized, interdisciplinary team that treats all forms of childhood cancer.
Children’s Hospital in London
On Sept. 22, Hyundai Canada announced a donation to the Children’s Health Foundation, which raises funds for the Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre.
This donation included two separate donations, a $100,000 donations from Hyundai Hope on Wheels and 225 Hyundai dealers across the country, plus another $40,000 from Finch Hyundai.
These funds will support hematology and oncology programs at the Children’s Hospital, which provides specialized care to children and youth across southwestern Ontario, including satellite clinics in Kitchener and Windsor.
