Aston Martin is celebrating 60 years of its Volante models with unique, limited-edition Volante variants.
What are Volante cars?
The Volante name is used for the convertible versions of the company’s grand tourers.
The first car to receive the name was the Short Chassis Volante, which was introduced in 1965. Aston Martin produced only 37 of these cars in a single year.
The company has since used the Volante name on several convertibles.

Anniversary models
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Volante cars, the automaker’s bespoke team, Q by Aston Martin, created unique versions of two current cars bearing that name, the Volante version of the company’s flagship Vanquish, and the DB12, which the company calls the world’s first super tourer.
Each special model is limited to just 60 units.
The Vanquish Volante is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 with 823 hp and 737 lb.-ft. of torque. Aston Martin calls it the fastest front-engine convertible in the world, with a top speed of 214 mph (344 km/h).
The other car, the DB12 Volante is powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 with 671 hp and 590 lb.-ft. of torque. This 2+2 convertible has a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h).

Unique anniversary features
The 60th Anniversary of Volante Edition cars are finished in Q Pentland Green paint with a Q Westminster Green hood colour, and anodized bronze accents, including the vaned grille.
The cars also ride on exclusive 21-inch wheels that are finished in satin bronze with diamond-turned edges. Behind the rims are black Aston Martin-branded brake calipers.
On the inside, the cars have exclusive tri-tone colour schemes, with the use of Centenary Saddle Tan, Ivory and woven leathers, dark walnut open pore veneers, bronze touchpoints and 60th anniversary embroidery on the seatbacks.
Aston Martin said the limited-edition anniversary models will be produced in the fourth quarter of 2025. Pricing wasn’t provided.
