Canada and the United States may be throwing in the towel on the transition to electric vehicles, but Hyundai is not.
The company unveiled the Concept Three, which signals a potential future sporty, two-door EV model.
The Concept Three is the company’s first compact EV concept from the Ioniq sub-brand, and it made its global debut at the IAA Mobility 2025 show in Munich.
Hyundai said the concept car represents the next step in the company’s electrification journey.
“With Europe experiencing a surging demand for compact EVs – driven by urbanization, sustainability regulations and the growing need for space-efficient solutions – the Concept Three demonstrates Hyundai Motor’s vision for meeting this demand by drawing on its advanced electrification capabilities,” Hyundai said in a news release.

The company said it views Europe as the hub of innovation in the EV era, thanks to its diverse cultures, advanced environmental policies and urban-focused mobility needs.
Hyundai plans to release 21 global EV models by 2030. It’s unclear how many of them make it to Canada.
With EV sales falling off a cliff here, don’t expect us to be the intended target for many of the company’s new models.
