Volvo is planning to unveil the next generation of its midsize electric SUV in early 2026, the automaker announced in a teaser of the upcoming EX60.
The unveiling of the all-new model is scheduled for Jan. 21 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Volvo said the EX60 will be the first vehicle on its latest technology base, which will give the SUV greater electric range than any Volvo that came before it, plus it will have what Volvo called a groundbreaking user experience.
“The new EX60 is Volvo Cars’ first fully electric car in the premium midsize SUV segment, a category where the company is already a leader. Set to become a cornerstone in the product line, the EX60 marks a significant step in Volvo Cars’ transformation into a fully electrified car maker,” Volvo Cars said in a news release.
The EX60 will be built at the company’s Torslanda plant in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Production is set to begin in the first half of 2026.
