Cars like the Audi TT and R8 may no longer be around, but the German automaker is not giving up on sports cars.
To prove its point, Audi unveiled the Concept C in Milan, Italy on Sept. 2.
While it’s just a concept, the all-electric two-seater is described as marking the beginning of a new design philosophy at Audi.
What’s more, Audi said it previews a future production model.
The car in the photos is a hard-top convertible with two roof elements, which Audi said allows the car to keep the monolithic shape and offer open-top motoring.
On the inside, there’s a minimalist design, which Audi said utilizes high-quality materials and is free of distractions.

‘Strive for clarity’
At the core of Audi’s new design philosophy is radical simplicity, the company said, with the company’s newest banner or motto being “Strive for clarity.”
The Concept C is built around that idea, with Audi describing it as embodying athletic minimalism and having a purity of form, precision and solidity.
“Radical simplicity is at the heart of our approach. We achieve clarity by reducing everything to the essential,” said chief creative officer Massimo Frascella, about Audi’s design philosophy, in a news release. “This not only applies to the vehicles’ exteriors, but also to their interiors. The latest technological innovations and materials are used precisely wherever they enable new possibilities for customers – and minimal measures have maximal impact.”
We could wax poetical about the Audi Concept C for ages, but we’ll instead just let the photos do the talking, which you can check out below.
