Genesis adds Prestige Black trim to several sedans and SUVs in Canada

The trim level was previously available in Korea and is becoming available in Canada for the 2026 model year of the G80, G90, GV80 and GV80 Coupe.

Genesis has introduced a more prestigious trim line to several of its vehicle models in Canada, as well as in the United States.

The automaker announced the addition of the Prestige Black trim to the G80 and G90 sedans, as well as the GV80 and GV80 Coupe sport utility vehicles.

The new trim level was previously available in Korea and is becoming available here, starting with the 2026 model year.

“North American customers are increasingly looking for vehicles that express their personal style while offering exceptional craftsmanship,” said Tedros Mengiste, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America, in a news release. “Prestige Black delivers exactly that. It’s unique, yet simple design, offers a bold new look with enhanced sophistication.”

Exterior elements

Prestige Black models get a blacked-out appearance, including a darkened front bumper, radiator grille, Genesis emblem, daylight opening moldings, rear bumper, headlamp bezels, and even the advanced driver-assistance system radar cover gets a unique darkened pattern.

Buyers will be able to choose from two exterior colours, Vik Black or Uyuni White.

The cars and SUVs also gain all-black alloy wheels ranging in size from 20 to 22 inches, depending on the vehicle model.

Interior features

The cabin gets an Obsidian Black Monotone interior colour scheme, which includes “Black Ash” open-pore wood on the centre console, dashboard and upper door panels.

Furthermore, touch areas, including door handles and multimedia dials, HVAC controls, and steering wheel buttons, get a refined black finish.

Canadian prices

The online configurators have opened in Canada for all four models.

Starting Canadian pricing is as follows:

G80 Black – $90,150
G90 Black – $121,650
GV80 Black – $100,150
GV80 Coupe Black – $108,150
