Lamborghini Fenomeno: a supercar built just for 29 people on Earth

The car is based on the Revuelto and uses that car’s V12 hybrid powertrain but power is increased to 1,065 hp from 1,001 hp.

Lamborghini has unveiled the Fenomeno, the newest in its series of “few off” limited-edition cars and this one will only be available to 29 people on Earth.

The car is not yet sold out as it is not yet for sale, so you have a chance to still get one if you want one; however, online reporting suggests the car will carry a seven-figure price tag so the car will be out of reach of most Earthlings.

The car is based on the Revuelto, but the car’s V12 hybrid powertrain has increased power to 1,065 hp from 1,001 hp, making it the most powerful V12-powered Lamborghini to date. Power comes from a naturally aspirated engine that can spin up to 9,500 rpm and packs 823 hp and three electric motors that combine for 242 hp. The power is sent to all wheels via an eight-speed dual clutch transmission.

Besides an increase in power over the Revuelto, the Fenomeno gets numerous other upgrades and technologies normally found in race cars.

We won’t get into all the updates, but the car has an aeronautics-inspired chassis with a monocoque made from multi-technology carbon fibre and a front structure made of a special material made of short carbon fibre soaked in resin, which was introduced in the Reventón, the first of Lamborghini’s few offs, which debuted in 2007.

Compared to the Revuelto, the car has more aerodynamics, stronger brakes, is more agile, sport-tuned suspension, all of which help the car be precise and stable during sports driving, Lamborghini said.

The car’s power-to-weight ratio is the best in Lamborghini’s history at 1.64 kilograms per CV. (One CV equals 0.985 hp)

Performance

Lamborghini provides some performance figures for the Fenomeno.

That includes:

  • Max speed: greater than 350 km/h
  • Zero to 100 km/h: 2.4 seconds
  • Zero to 200 km/h: 6.7 seconds
  • 100-0 km/h: 30 metres

“With the Fenomeno, Lamborghini once again presents an incomparable super sports car in a limited edition. The combination of the most powerful V12 in our history, breathtaking design, superior aerodynamics, and cutting-edge technologies such as extreme lightweight construction make the Fenomeno the most extraordinary super sports car of our time,” said Lamborghini president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann in a news release. “It stands as a true manifesto of technology and design. A phenomenon in name and nature. Born in Sant’Agata Bolognese.”

Full model details are available on the Lamborghini website.
