General Motors is whetting the appetites of future electric vehicle buyers with fresh, but limited, details and new images of the upcoming second-generation Chevrolet Bolt.
The new Bolt is set to launch for the 2027 model year.
The first-gen EV went out of production at the end of 2023. It was available as a subcompact hatchback, the Bolt EV, and as a subcompact crossover, the Bolt EUV.
Details on the next-gen Bolt are slim, but here’s what GM has said in its latest teaser on July 30.

The new Bolt will see an updated front fascia and rear lights and will get a North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging adapter port, which is the same that’s used by Tesla and will allow drivers to plug into Tesla Superchargers.

GM also said there will be some other “cool stuff” but we’ll have to wait as more details will be revealed in a few months.
Previously, GM said the EV would use its next-generation batteries, so a driving range increase is likely.

That’s basically it. We’ll just have to await further announcements on the upcoming Bolt EV.
