Just in case a regular performance sedan isn’t enough for you, Hyundai has created a higher performance version of its Elantra N, called the Elantra N TCR Edition.
The TCR stands for Touring Car Racing, as the compact sports sedan is inspired by the race cars created by the Hyundai N Motorsports team.
Now, this hotted-up version of a hotted-up compact sedan is coming to Canada, with limited quantities available.
The 2026 Hyundai Elantra N TCR Edition with a six-speed manual transmission with downshift rev matching has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $47,599. With fees and levies, that comes to approximately $50,158.
If you opt for the eight-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission, the MSRP rises to $49,199, which comes to $51,758 with fees and levies.

What is the N TCR Edition?
The car builds on the standard Elantra N, which has a starting MSRP of $40,199 for the six-speed manual transmission with downshift rev matching or $41,799 for the eight-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
The Elantra N TCR Edition is powered by the same turbocharged 2-litre four-cylinder engine with 276 hp and 289 lb.-ft. of torque as the regular Elantra N, but it has a host of other go-fast goodies to up its performance, plus has some added visual flare.

Performance goodies include a carbon swan neck spoiler, which can be adjusted for optimal downforce, lightweight 19-inch N TCR forged wheels, and N Performance four-piston brakes.

The car is further distinguished with a “TCR Edition” trunk emblem, a “TCR Edition” logo door spot lamp, N Performance Alcantara steering wheel with a 12 o’clock market, an Alcantara interior package with Alcantara on the parking brake lever, gear knob and console armrest and other features.

The car is available in four colours, Performance Blue, Cyber Grey, Abyss Black, and Atlas White.
