The Lucid Air is getting cooler in 2026, and we mean that literally not figuratively.

Lucid Motors announced what’s new for the all-electric sedan for the 2026 model year, and one of the changes includes a new AC compressor on all trims of the Air sedan.

The new AC compressor is said to improve the car’s cooling capacity while also reducing ambient noise inside the cabin.

That’s also not the only improvement on the 2026 Lucid Air, which is available to order now.

The car is available in Pure, Touring and Grand Touring trims as well as the super-powerful, ultra-expensive Sapphire trim.

Below are some of the updates for the 2026 model year.

NACS access

All Lucid Air cars will gain access to the Tesla Supercharger network with an approved adapter from Lucid, starting July 31.

The automaker will sell a NACS to CCS1 adapter, which will give these cars access to charging stations using the North American Charging Standard, including Tesla Superchargers.

The automaker didn’t specify the adapter’s Canadian price but says it will cost $220 in the U.S.

More range

The middle-of-the-road Touring trim is getting a six per cent EPA-estimated range increase, to 694 kilometres.

The other trims are maintaining their estimated ranges – that being 676 kilometres on the Pure model and 824 kilometres on the Grand Touring model.

New wheels

Pure, Touring and Grand Touring models now have new optional five-spoke, 19-inch Aeronaut wheels, which are available in Platinum and Stealth appearances.

New comfort features

Lucid Air Pure customers can now select the Mojave PurLuxe Interior with either 12-way power heated front seats or optional 20-way power heated and ventilated seats with massage.

Furthermore, the Comfort and Convenience Package now gets a new rear centre console display and storage bin.

Pure models now come exclusively with DreamDrive Premium.

The Grand Touring trim now gets 20-way power memory front seats as standard. These seats include power-adjustable bolsters, heating, ventilation and massage.

Charging kit

All Lucid Air cars now come with a mobile charging kit with Level 1 and Level 2 adapters.

The NEMA 14-50 adapter allows for charging at 240 volts and 40 amps, which can add about 64 kilometres of range per hour of charging.

The NEMA 5-15 adapter allows for charging at 120 volts and 12 amps, which can add about six kilometres of range per hour of charging.

New DreamDrive Pro features

The optional DreamDrive Pro suite of advanced driver assistance systems is getting updated to now include hands-free assist and hands-free lance change assist. This will allow drivers to drive hands-free on compatible separated highways.

Older cars with the optional DreamDrive Pro package will also get these new features via over-the-air updates.

Canadian pricing

Starting Canadian pricing on the 2026 Lucid Air is as follows:

  • Pure – $99,900
  • Touring – $112,800
  • Grand Touring – $161,200

These prices include destination and documentation fees, but exclude sales tax and federal luxury vehicle taxes.

If you’re wondering about the 1,234-hp Lucid Air Sapphire, that car starts at $327,300 in Canada.
