Rivian’s R1T and R1S pickup truck and SUV duo are finally available in Quad form.

The automaker announced the top-of-the-line versions of its second generation R1 twins last year, and they finally became available July 8.

Potential buyers can now configure their rides on the automaker’s website.

The R1T and R1S Quad are powered by a quad-motor powertrain, one motor per wheel, producing a total of 1,025 hp.

The R1T Quad pickup truck is able to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, Rivian says.

The R1S Quad three-row SUV can sprint to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, Rivian says.

The R1S and R1T have an EPA-estimated driving range of 544 kilometres, or 579 kilometres in Conserve mode.

The vehicles are currently available in Launch Edition trim.

Starting Canadian pricing is as follows:

  • R1T (pickup) – $196,990
  • R1S (SUV) – $207,990

Customer deliveries are expected in eight to 12 weeks, the automaker’s website says.
