Hyundai Canada just keeps on giving to children’s cancer care hospitals.
The company, through its charitable foundation Hyundai Hope on Wheels, has donated money to two more children’s health centres in Canada. This comes after the company had already donated to several Canadian hospitals through the year.
Most recently, Hyundai has donated $250,000 each to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and Charles-Bruneau Foundation.
Charles-Bruneau Foundation
The Charles-Bruneau Foundation supports specialized Charles-Bruneau units and centres that have been set up at four university hospitals that care for children with cancer.
This most recent donation supports the Charles-Bruneau pediatric hematology oncology unit at CHU de Québec–Université Laval.
“At Fondation Charles-Bruneau, we believe in treating the whole child – not just the illness,” said Pierre Bruneau, founder of Fondation Charles-Bruneau, in a news release. “This generous gift from Hyundai Hope on Wheels will help sustain and grow our art therapy program here at the Charles-Bruneau Unit at the CHU de Québec–Université Laval, which offers comfort, expression, and healing through creativity. We are deeply grateful for this support.”

BC Children’s Hospital Foundation
The BC Children’s Hospital Foundation raises funds for BC Children’s Hospital.
This is the only full-service acute-care hospital dedicated to children in British Columbia. It delivers highly specialized care to young patients from British Columbia and Yukon and its oncology team provides comprehensive care for children with cancer.
About 130 children are diagnosed with cancer in British Columbia each year.
“At BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, we’re committed to improving outcomes for every child – and every family – facing a cancer diagnosis,” said Malcolm Berry, president and CEO of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, in a news release. “This generous gift from Hyundai Hope on Wheels is more than a donation; it’s a meaningful investment in the care, treatment, and hope that families can count on when they walk through the hospital’s doors.”
Hyundai Hope on Wheels has committed to donating $4 million to support pediatric oncology centres across Canada in 2025.
