Polestar’s latest vehicle model, the Polestar 4, is now on sale in Canada and the configurator is open.

The 2026 Polestar 4 electric SUV has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $64,900, which with destination charge comes to $67,600.

“Following the successful launch of Polestar 4 in other markets around the world, we are thrilled to open the order books for the 2026 Polestar 4 in Canada, which will all be built in Busan, South Korea,” said Hugues Bissonnette, head of Polestar Canada, in a news release. “Polestar 4 confidently enters the premium performance class within the D-SUV segment. Our SUV coupe’s innovative design offers generous interior space and a stunning appearance. Coupled with the Polestar 3, we now offer two dynamic SUV options for Canadian customers.”

The Polestar 4 is a sedan-like SUV, although the company calls it a performance SUV coupe. The design is said to give the vehicle the aerodynamics of a coupe and the space of an SUV.

The Polestar 4’s design may be noteworthy for lacking a rear window. Instead of a rear-view mirror, the SUV gets a live feed from a roof-mounted high-definition rear camera, which Polestar said gives the driver a far wider field of view.

The Polestar 4 gets numerous standard features, including Pilot Pack with Pilot Assist with lane change assist, 20-inch aero alloy wheels, panoramic glass roof, adaptive cruise control, 360 parking camera with 3D view, heat pump, 11-kW on-board AC charger, e-latch doors, power tailgate with soft close, wireless phone charger, digital key for Apple devices, eight-way power driver’s seat and six-way passenger seat and more.

Powertrain

In Canada, all versions are long range models with a 100-kWh battery with a maximum DC charging speed of 200 kW.

Single-motor rear-wheel-drive models have 272 hp and 253 lb.-ft. of torque and an estimated range of 482 kilometres. Zero to 100 km/h is said to arrive in 7.1 seconds.

Dual-motor all-wheel-drive models have 544 hp and 506 lb.-ft. of torque and an estimated driving range of 434 kilometres. Zero to 100 km/h is said to arrive in 3.8 seconds.
