Configurator opens for 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 in Canada

The electric three-row SUV has a starting Canadian MSRP of $59,999 and an estimated driving range of 539 kilometres on rear-wheel-drive models.

The all-new Hyundai Ioniq 9 has launched in Canada for the 2026 model year.

Canadians can now configure their models on the Hyundai Canada website.

The electric three-row SUV has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $59,999, which comes to $62,779 with fees and levies.

The Ioniq 9 has seating for seven people, and that includes what the automaker calls an adult-sized third row.

Three trims

Canadian buyers can select from three trims in 2026.

Starting prices per trim are as follows:

  • Essential RWD – $59,999 ($62,779 with fees levies)
  • Preferred AWD – $64,999 ($67,779 with fees and levies)
  • Preferred AWD+ – $64,999 ($67,779 with fees and levies)

The Essential RWD model has a 160-kW (215 hp) motor powering the rear wheels. This version has an estimated driving range of 539 kilometres.

The Preferred AWD gets an additional 70-kW (94 hp) front motor for a total of 303 hp, while the Preferred AWD+ gets an additional 160-kW (215 hp) motor for the front wheels, for a total of 422 hp.

All three versions have a battery capacity of 110.3 kWh and Hyundai Canada said all three versions have a minimum driving range of 500 kilometres.
