An all-new Jeep Cherokee is expected to launch in late 2025, the automaker announced.

The previous Cherokee was discontinued in 2023.

The automaker said the next-gen midsize SUV is reimagined from the ground up and will include what’s described as an efficient and powerful hybrid powertrain option.

“This is a historic year for the Jeep brand, with more product, innovation, choice and standard content for customers than ever before,” said Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf in a news release. “The all-new Jeep Cherokee will boast competitive pricing that strikes at the core of the largest vehicle segment and sits perfectly between Jeep Compass and Jeep Grand Cherokee to bolster our winning mainstream lineup.”

The automaker also recently teased an all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is expected to launch later this year.

The non-grand Cherokee, the automaker said, will respectfully honour its rich history with an eye for innovation.

The automaker said the hybrid-powered Cherokee is part of the brand’s commitment to give customers “freedom to adventure their way” with Jeep offering vehicles with internal combustion engines, plug-in hybrids and all-electric powertrains.
