Toyota is expected to launch an all-new RAV4 later this month.

The automaker released a few teaser images of an upcoming vehicle on May 12 without saying what that upcoming vehicle was.

Various automotive news outlets are saying it is most likely the next-generation RAV4, which would launch for the 2026 model year.

“Get ready to stand out in all-new style, from urban streets to outdoor retreats. Check out the reveal May 20,” Toyota said in the teaser of the upcoming vehicle.

The RAV4 is possibly the most important vehicle in the automaker’s Canadian lineup.

Toyota Canada had its best sales year in 2024 with 238,933 vehicles sold between its Toyota and Lexus brands. The top-selling model was the RAV4, with 77,556 units moved.

The compact SUV is also one of several Toyota/Lexus vehicles assembled in Ontario.

The current RAV4 is available with multiple powertrains, including gasoline only, hybrid and plug-in hybrid.
