The Toyota Corolla Cross is getting a bit of a nip and tuck for the 2026 model year, with the hybrid model sharing a nose job treatment with the more upscale Toyota Crown Signia.
With the design refresh, the Corolla Cross Hybrid and the gasoline-only Corolla Cross will have distinct front-end looks. The models are getting other updates as well.
The hybrid model gets a new front fascia that includes a new colour-matched front grille and bumper combination, which is perhaps not quite as striking as on the Crown Signia but similar in design.

The gasoline-powered Corolla Cross also gets a front fascia redesign, but one that remains closer to the outgoing model’s look, but with a bolder and more rugged design.
The small SUV also gains a new Cavalry Blue exterior paint colour, seen in these images, which is available on the LE and XLE gas models, while the SE and XSE hybrid models have an available Cavalry Blue with Jet Black roof two-tone paint scheme available.
There are also a pair new wheel designs available, including 18-inch alloy wheels with dark-grey metallic finish and machined accents on the XLE and 18-inch aluminum alloy sport wheels in a gloss-black finish on the hybrid XSE grade.

Interior updates
The interior gets some tweaks as well.
A new front console, coming to all grades, is said to maximize usable space.
The XLE grade is also getting the Portobello interior colour.
There’s an available 10.5-inch multimedia touchscreen on the LE Premium and XLE gas grades, and hybrid SE and XSE grades and a seven-inch multi-information display on the L, LE and hybrid SE grades, or 12.3-inch gauge cluster on the XLE and hybrid XSE grades.
Rear heated seats will now be standard on XLE AWD and hybrid XSE grades.
The 2026 Corolla Cross is available in a variety of trims in Canada.
Gas-powered front-wheel-drive models include the L and LE grades, gas-powered all-wheel-drive models include the L, LE, LE Premium and XLE grades, and the hybrid models include the SE and XSE grades, both of which have electronic on-demand all-wheel drive.

Powertrains
The gasoline Corolla Cross models are powered by a 2-litre four-cylinder engine with dual variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) paired with a continuously variable transmission with intelligence and Shift Mode. This powertrain produces 169 hp.
Up to 50 per cent of the engine’s power can be sent to the rear wheels when needed, or it disengages from the rear wheels completely when it’s not – a feature that improves. fuel economy. Toyota said FWD models get a city-highway combined fuel economy of 7.4 L/100 km while AWD models get 7.8 L/100 km.
The Corolla Cross Hybrid is powered by Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid powertrain that includes a 2-litre four-cylinder VVT-i engine, three electric motors and an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. This powertrain produces 196 hp and has a city-highway combined fuel economy rating of 5.6 L/100 km.
All models get the Toyota Safety sense 3.0 suite of safety and driver assistance technologies.
The 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross is expected to go on sale in Canada later this year. Pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
