Toyota is adding a new trim to its Camry lineup, designed for buyers who want a sportier looking midsize sedan.
The Nightshade Edition will become available on the 2026 Camry, which is expected to be available in Canada this summer. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet.
The new Nightshade Edition brings the Camry lineup to six trims. That includes two front-wheel-drive variants, SE and SE Upgrade, plus the all-wheel-drive versions, SE Upgrade, Nightshade, XSE and XLE.

What is the Nightshade Edition?
The 2026 Toyota Camry Nightshade Edition includes what are called Midnight Black Metallic exterior elements, gloss black badges and unique 19-inch wheels.
Those Midnight Black Metallic parts include the front grille, air curtains, side canards, door handles, mirror caps, shark fin antenna, lower rear sport diffuser and a rear spoiler.
The Nighshade Edition is available in three colours: white, Supersonic Red (seen in these photos) and Midnight Black Metallic.

New colour available
Besides the addition of the new trim level, Toyota is adding a new colour option to the 2026 Camry, but only on the XLE grade, which is getting the availability of a colour called Dark Cosmos.
Toyota describes Dark Cosmos as a sultry, hazy blue colour.

Hybrid powertrain
The ninth-generation Camry is exclusively available with a hybrid powertrain.
The car utilizes Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system, which pairs a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder engine with an electric motor.
Front-wheel-drive models get a combined 225 hp, while all-wheel-drive models get a slight power bump to 232 hp.
Toyota estimates the SE FWD Camry gets a city-highway combined fuel efficiency rating of 4.9 L/100 km.
