Another sedan has been discontinued in Canada. This time its the Volvo S90.

Multiple publications in the United States reported the full-size luxury sedan, which is assembled in China, is being pulled from the U.S. market as China and the U.S. engage in a tariff war.

Volvo Cars of Canada confirmed to this blog the car is also being taken out of the Canadian market.

It no longer appears on the Volvo Cars Canada website.

The S90 had been available with two powertrain options. One was a mild hybrid version and the other a plug-in hybrid model with 455 hp.

The company’s only other sedan for sale in Canada, the S60, remains available as of this writing, but it’s unclear if it will continue to be available after this year. Production of the S60 is ending at Volvo’s South Carolina plant. Volvo has said the S60 would continue to be available in Canada through the 2025 model year. Various media outlets have reported the car would be discontinued after 2025.

The existing S60 midsize sedan is available with the plug-in hybrid powertrain only, producing 455 hp just as it did in the S90.
