Few car companies build electric sedans, as most focus on the SUV segment, but Hyundai is committed to the body style.
Now, the company has unveiled an updated Ioniq 6 electric midsize sedan, which it calls a streamliner, at the Seoul Mobility Show in Korea.
Dates of when we can expect this new EV in Canada have not been provided.

The current Ioniq 6 was launched in 2022. This new model is even curvier than the existing one.
“Ioniq 6 has evolved from a single electrified streamliner into a lineup, each model expressing its own character while staying true to one refined vision,” said Simon Loasby, senior vice president and head of Hyundai Design Centre, in a news release. “Under the evolved design concept of ‘Pure Flow, Refined,’ we’ve enhanced every line and detail to make Ioniq 6 simpler and more progressive.”

The new Ioniq 6 features an elevated hood and its shape was extended. There’s a black garnish on the lower body that extend to the doors, intended to emphasize the car’s streamlined body.
The spoiler is gone, replaced by an extended ducktail spoiler, which Hyundai said maintains aerodynamic performance while achieving a smoother, more refined silhouette.

Ioniq 6 N Line
The new car is launching with the regular Ioniq 6 model as well as the sportier Ioniq 6 N Line, which adds some aggressive design elements.
These aggressive design elements include front and rear wing-shaped bumpers. Together with the side will, the bumpers give the car a visually lower stance, Hyundai said.
Ioniq 6 N
The automaker said the Ioniq 6 N, which will sit at the top of the car’s performance latter, will be unveiled in July.
