Toyota says a new GR Corolla is being developed.
While the automaker provided no specs for the vehicle, the new hot hatch Corolla appears to have new fender vents, hood vents and a larger rear spoiler, which Toyota said highlight the car’s enhancements.
The car is also said to have more torque.

“Born on the track, this vehicle is expected to have improved aerodynamic performance, a bump in torque and unique tuning,” a Toyota news release said.
“The Gazoo Racing team is still working to fine-tune this vehicle to make it ready for Akio Toyoda’s final test drive.”
The existnig 2025 GR Corolla is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-litre three-cylinder engine that pumps out 300 hp at 6,500 rpm and 295 lb.-ft. of torque.
That torque figure is actually already up by 20 lb.-ft. over the 2024 GR Corolla.

The existing car has all-wheel drive and is available with a six-speed manual transmission or eight-speed Gazoo Racing direct automatic transmission.
Toyota said more information on the updated GR Corolla will be shared this fall.
