Honda is showing off the ruggedness of its 2026 Passport Trailsport.

The automaker hung three of the off-road SUV models, end to end, from a crane to demonstrate the strength of its exposed heavy-duty front recovery points.

The cast iron front recovery points are painted in bright orange and feature a closed loop design for additional safety. Each is capable of supporting twice the weight of the Passport.

For the demonstration, the company hung three of the vehicles end to end. The SUVs were hitched from the hitch to the recovery points.

Honda said the recovery points on the Passport at the top of the line, raised to a height of 100 feet, held more than 14,000 pounds of weight.

The vehicles were drained of fluids and the transmissions were set to neutral.

The recovery points on the Passport TrailSport are powder coated to resist corrosion and are engineered to break away in a crash.

All 2026 Passport TrailSport models also include a trailer hitch with a seven-pin connector, which integrates two rear recovery points and helps protect the rear fascia from off-road damage, Honda said.

More information on the Passport is available on the Honda Canada website.
