Honda is set to release its own NACS-CCS adapters that will allow owners of its electric vehicles to plug in at Tesla Supercharger stations across North America.
The automaker currently sells the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX electric vehicles.
“A key consideration for EV buyers is stress-free connectivity to charging networks and infrastructure, offering Canadian Honda and Acura EV customers access to the Tesla Supercharger network, in addition to EV charging networks already available, will make their decision to purchase an EV easier,” said Hayato Mori, assistant vice president, business development and customer engagement, in a news release.
“With this announcement, Honda will become an industry leader in providing charging options to consumers with more than 100,000 charge points in place across North America by 2030.”
The automaker added that this is the only Honda-approved NACS (North American Charging Standard) adapter and was tested for safety and compatibility with the Prologue and ZDX.

When is it coming?
Honda said the adapter will be available at Honda and Acura dealerships in Canada with an expected launched planned toward this summer.
Pricing will be confirmed closer to their availability.
Prologue and ZDX owners will be notified via the HondaLink and Acura EV apps when the adapters are available for purchase. The apps will also allow them to find Supercharger locations.
