The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV SS configurator has opened in Canada and customers looking for power won’t be disappointed.

Chevrolet has managed to find more horsepower in the SUV’s electric powertrain than previously advertised – increasing it for a second time.

When we last reported on the electric SS model’s power figure in October, it was to have 595 hp and 645 lb.-ft. of torque in Wide Opens Watts (WOW) mode, a figure that had already been an increase from an initial announcement of 557 hp.

Now, Chevy is advertising figures of 615 hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque in WOW mode.

With a reported acceleration time of 3.4 seconds from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h), this is the quickest SS model Chevrolet has ever produced.

Estimated driving range is 487 kilometres on a single charge.

The SUV features dual-motor all-wheel drive.

The 2025 Blazer EV SS has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $69,999, which after fees and levies are added comes to approximately $73,333.

If you want a Blazer EV but don’t need all the power of the SS, the SUV is available in front-wheel-drive, rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations and with various power figures. The lowest priced model currently available, the LT FWD model, has a starting MSRP of $54,499, which brings it to about $57,833 with fees and levies.

You can build your Blazer EV on the Chevrolet Canada website.
