
Newly launched Canadian non-profit Hyundai Hope On Wheels has come up big for of one of North America’s largest pediatric hospitals.
The organization and Hyundai Canada dealers donated $1 million to CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, the fundraising arm of Montreal’s Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine. CHU Sainte-Justine is said to be the largest mother and child centre in Canada and a leader in pediatric oncology in North America.
“We are incredibly thankful to Hyundai Canada for its generous support and commitment to pediatric cancer patients and their families,” said Delphine Brodeur, president and chief executive officer, CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, in a news release.
“Long-term investment in pediatric research is essential to advancing patient care, and the launch of Hyundai Hope On Wheels in Canada marks a significant step forward for research funding nationwide. We deeply appreciate Hyundai’s dedication, which will drive major breakthroughs at CHU Sainte-Justine’s Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau, and the vital impact Hyundai Hope On Wheels will have on the lives of children across Quebec facing a cancer diagnosis.”
The hospital is home to Quebec’s national centre of excellence for pediatroic bone marrow and cord blood transplants and is one of the five most active pediatric centres for cord blood transplants on the continent.
Hyundai Hope On Wheels has committed to donating more than $4 million in 2025 to pediatric oncology centres in Canada.
The donation to CHU Sainte-Justine will support critical research and help provide essential support for patient care and survivorship programs, the news release said.
