The Lexus RZ is getting a refresh for the 2026 model year with some styling updates and a brand-new battery-electric drive system.
Lexus Canada didn’t provide Canadian specs but said the revised electric SUV will have more power and range as well as a new driving experience.
Based on details provided by Lexus globally, the updated RZ will feature the next-generation of steer-by-wire, which eliminates the need for a steering column, which Lexus said will provide a completely new driving experience.
The new BEV system is said to deliver increased motor power, extended driving range and reduced charging time.
The 2026 RZ will also introduce interactive manual drive, which Lexus said provides the excitement of “shifting” by synchronizing acceleration and deceleration with immersive sound for a sportier, more responsive driving feel.

On the exterior, the RZ is expected to get new colour options, new front and rear spoilers and aerodynamic wheels.
On the inside, new seats and aluminum pedals will add to a sportier ambience.
