Cadillac has launched a new all-electric vehicle for anyone who thinks full-size isn’t enough.
The automaker introduced the Escalade IQL, which is debuting for the 2026 model year. Production will begin in mid-2025 in Detroit.
The Escalade IQL measures 5,803 mm long.
You’re likely thinking how it compares to the non-extended EV version or the gas-burning Escalade models. For your reference, we’ve got the lengths listed here:
- Escalade IQ (EV) – 5,697 mm
- Escalade (ICE) – 5,382 mm
- Escalade ESV (ICE) – 5,765 mm
Now no one can say electric SUVs just aren’t enough car.
“Escalade has been the best-selling luxury full-size SUV in North America since 2014. The Escalade IQL is an important addition to the Escalade franchise and the Cadillac portfolio,” said John Roth, vice president, Global Cadillac, in a news release. “With the Escalade IQL, Cadillac now offers a full lineup of internal combustion and all-electric Escalade options for our customers, no matter the propulsion.”

Performance
The Escalade IQL features an electric propulsion system that has an estimated output of up to 750 hp and 785 lb.-ft. of torque with Velocity Max selected.
Zero to 96 km/h is said to arrive in less than five seconds.
Driving range is estimated up to 740 kilometres on a full charge.
The estimated maximum towing capacity is 7,500 pounds (3,402 kilograms).
The SUV features Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and an air ride adaptive suspension, which should isolate occupants from harsh springtime road conditions.
Wheels measure 24 inches.
Technology
The Escalade IQL features a curved pillar-to-pillar 55-inch display.
The standard AKG Studio audio system features 19 speakers, while an available AKG Studio Reference system has 36 speakers, which gets increased to 40 with the Luxury/Sport Executive Second Row package. There are also Dolby Atmos custom-tuned speakers and amplifier.
Super Cruise hands-free assistance capability is standard and a three-year trial is included.
A suite of active safety and driver assistance features are standard on the vehicle.

Space
The SUV has seating for seven occupants.
Compared to the regular-length Escalade IQ, this model has four more inches of leg room for third-row occupants and one inch more of headroom.
The power-folding third row folds flat for increased storage.
There is also a front trunk (frunk) under the hood with 12.2 cubic feet of storage space.
The Executive Second Row package features stowable tray tables, personal 12.6-inch screens, a rear command centre, dual wireless phone charging pads, massaging seats and headrest speakers.
The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL will be offered in four trims – Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury and Premium Sport.
Canadian pricing hasn’t been announced yet. For your reference, the standard-length 2025 Escalade IQ starts at $160,733 (fees and levies included).
