Porsche is rolling out more versions of its newest 911 model range and has dropped the goods on the latest Carrera S model.

The 2025 Carrera S is available as a coupe or cabriolet. It sits between the base Carrera and the Carrera GTS T-Hybrid in the 911 model range and is powered by a twin-turbo 3-litre six-cylinder boxer engine.

It gained 30 hp over the previous version and now packs 473 hp and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. The torque figure is unchanged from the previous model.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed Porsche dual-clutch (PDK) transmission. The formerly available stick shift is no longer available.

Potential buyers who want a manual transmission can still get one with the Carrera T, which has the same power figure of the standard Carrera at 388 hp.

Porsche says the Carrera S’s power gain is courtesy of new turbochargers and extensively optimized charge-air cooling among other upgrades.

The automaker says the Carrera S coupe will accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package and has a top speed of 308 km/h (191 mph). Without the Sport Chrono Package, the sprint to 100 km/h arrives in 3.5 seconds.

More features

Porsche adds the Carrera S gained a host of standard features. This includes wheels measuring 20 inches up front and 21 in the rear, a sports exhaust system with tailpipes in silver, an upgraded braking system and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus.

Customers can also opt for ceramic composite brakes and the PASM sports suspension, which lowers the ride by 10 millimetres and adds rear-wheel steering.

On the inside, the coupe comes with a leather package with the seats, headrests, dashboard, door panels and an optional rear-seat system all wearing smooth-finish leather. The folding rear seats are available at no additional cost or buyers can opt for a two-seater layout in the coupe, while the rear seats are standard on the cabriolet.

Customers can also select an option that includes even more leather, including on the glove box lid, the side panels and the seat base. Porsche can also add contrast stitching in Crayon.

The 2025 Carrera S is now available to order.
