Subaru has outsold its best Canadian sales year by nearly 10,000 vehicles when it moved 68,043 units in 2024.

Subaru Canada Inc. (SCI)’s previous sales record was set in 2018 when 58,070 vehicles were sold. The 2024 sales totals also represent a 23.8 per cent year-over-year increase compared to 2023.

One model in Subaru’s lineup represented a little more than 40 per cent of the company’s entire vehicles sales in 2024.

The Crosstrek saw 28,303 units sold in Canada in 2024, while the company’s next best-selling vehicle was the Forester with 16,376 units sold.

The company also sold 3,276 units of the Impreza, which is a 46.1 per cent increase over 2023.

“For SCI, 2024 was a year for the record books,” said SCI chairman, president, and CEO Tomohiro Kubota, in a news release. “From our head office to every dealership across the country, I want to personally thank the dedication and hard work that went into making this the best year ever for Subaru Canada.”

Subaru Canada Inc. is headquartered in Mississauga, Ont. and has a network of 96 dealerships across the country.
