
Kia Canada has achieved its second consecutive year of record-breaking sales after moving 86,657 vehicles in 2024.
That’s up by 2.2 per cent over 2023 levels, when the company sold a then-record 84,768 vehicles.
Pure electric and electrified vehicles saw huge sales gains in 2024.
Kia Canada experienced year-over-year increases for electric vehicles of 98.2 per cent, while hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicle sales increased 31.5 per cent.
In terms of EV sales, the company sold 6,671 EV6 models, 4,502 EV9 models and 4,458 Niro EVs.
The SUV segment was the company’s best performer in 2024 as the company sold 18,706 Seltos models, 15,423 Sportage models and 9,646 Sorento models.
“Kia has seen tremendous growth over the last several years, a testament to the strength of our brand and the design and quality of our product, especially in the SUV and EV segments,” said Elias El-Achhab, VP and COO of Kia Canada, in a news release. “We will continue to offer products and services that deliver on the edge of technology, convenience and innovation, offering a broad spectrum of vehicles to meet evolving consumer needs.”
