Chevrolet announced some spectacular performance numbers for the 2025 Corvette ZR1 – numbers that might be expected and even surpassing exotic automakers.
Below are the goods, as reported by Chevrolet.
Zero to 60 mph (96 km/h):
- Standard ZR1 – 2.5 seconds
- ZTK-equipped ZR1 – 2.3 seconds
Quarter mile:
- Standard ZR1 – 9.7 seconds
- ZTK-equipped ZR1 – 9.6 seconds
The ZTK package features a number of performance enhancements, including a high-downforce carbon fibre aero package, and ultra-grippy Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires. At the car’s top speed of 375 km/h, the aero package creates more than 1,200 pounds of downforce.
Chevrolet added that the standard ZR1, despite being 0.1 seconds slower to the quarter mile trap, actually arrived at the finish line at a higher speed, hitting the trap at 244 km/h (152 mph), which was 2.3 km/h (2 mph) faster than the ZTK-equipped car.
Chevrolet said all tests were conducted using 93 octane fuel and were performed on a non-prepped drag strip surface.
“The 2025 Corvette ZR1 yet again exceeded our expectations,” said Josh Holder, chief engineer, Corvette, in a news release. “Combined with a top speed record of 375 km/h (233 mph) – which is unrivalled by any current production car priced under $1 million (U.S.) – the Corvette ZR1 delivers on its mission to provide customers unrelenting power.”

Chevrolet provided some numbers to compare it to the other eight-generation Corvette models.
Zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) times are as follows:
- Stingray with available Z51 package – 2.9 seconds
- Z06 with available Z07 package – 2.6 seconds
- E-Ray (hybrid) – 2.5 seconds
- ZR1 with available ZTK package – 2.3 seconds
The ZR1 features a 5.5-litre twin-turbo LT7 DOHC flat-plane crank V8 engine producing 1,064 hp at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb.-ft. of torque at 6,000 rpm.
With a top speed of 375 km/h (233 mph), it is the fastest car built by an American automaker.
Pricing has not yet been announced.
