The sixth-generation Honda Prelude is coming to Canada.
Honda Canada announced the hybrid-electric sports coupe will be introduced to the Canadian market in late 2025.
“The Honda Prelude has a storied history, joining Civic and Accord as one of the first three products in our lineup in the 1970s, its return will put a nostalgic smile on the faces of those that have fond memories of this iconic car,” said Emile Korkor, assistant vice president, Honda Canada, in a news release. “The Prelude is yet another exciting hybrid-electric model that we’re introducing as part of our commitment to an electrified future, joining the Civic, CR-V and Accord as part of our expanding hybrid lineup.”
Honda didn’t provide power figures for the new Prelude’s powertrain, but said the car will advance the “joy of driving” into the electrified future with the company’s two-motor hybrid powertrain.

The car will also debut the Honda S+ Shift drive mode. The feature is said to advance Linear Shift Control to “deliver maximum levels of driver engagement, in keeping with the heritage of the Prelude line,” Honda said.
The first generation Prelude debuted in November 1978.
Over the years, the Prelude introduced innovative features such as four-wheel steering and a torque vectoring Active Torque Transfer System.
