Automakers have been blurring the lines between car and SUV in recent years and that’s evident in the latest model launched by Audi.
The automaker launched the Q5 Sportback, which is based on the all-new Q5 SUV but with coupe-like styling.
Audi points out you still get the versatility and space of an SUV, while the sloping roofline adds a sporty design.
In the Q5 Sportback, cargo volume behind the rear seats is up to 515 litres or 1,415 litres with the rear seats folded.
In the sportier SQ5 Sportback, cargo volume is up to 470 litres behind the rear seats or 1,388 litres with the seats folded.

The new Q5 Sportback is built on the Premium Platform Combustion architecture and features a mild-hybrid powertrain, which Audi calls MHEV plus as it offers a bit more electric capability than a typical mild-hybrid vehicle.
The 48-volt system allows for limited all-electric driving and parking and powers an electric air conditioning compressor, allowing the AC to function at up to full power even when the engine is off, including when the vehicle is coasting or stopped at a red light.
The Q5 Sportback will be available with various powertrains globally and in front-wheel-drive and quattro all-wheel-drive configurations.
Canadian market details were not shared with this blog, but we know what the Canadian powertrain is in the all-new Q5, which is not yet available in Canada.

In Canada, the 2025 Q5 is powered by a 2-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 268 hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque, has an S tronic seven-speed automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive.
The SQ5 gets a 3-litre V6 engine producing 362 hp and 406 lb.-ft. of torque, as well as the S tronic seven-speed automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive.
